While surfing the net last evening, I couldn’t help noticing the painfully slow *response time*. Without much ado, summoned my trusted lieutenant, TCPView and found an uninvited Mr. “ukenme.exe” in the list of processes. A quickie on Google revealed ukenme’s true identity, and some registry entry deletes later, my speed was back to its old, bearable self.

That reminds me of an oft-discusses to death topic on the vulnerabilities of the various OSs and how MS OSs flounder in the “secure” department.
